This policy (together with our Terms and Conditions and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.

Fondy takes a ‘layered approach’ to explain its privacy practices, as recommended by regulators. This means that we endeavor to provide you with only the relevant privacy information for the Fondy services being utilised and we will often use short-form privacy notices, such as this website privacy notice, to do so. Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data about you:

1. Information you give us

You may give us information about you by filling out forms on one of our sites, e.g. www.fondy.eu (Fondy Website) or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail, web chat or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you register to use our site, subscribe to our service, search for a product, participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on our site, enter a competition, promotion or survey and when you report a problem with our site. The information you give us may include your name, address, email address and phone number, financial and credit card information, personal description and photograph. If you give us information on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you have given them the information set out in this notice and that they have given permission for us to use their information as set out in this notice.

2. Information we collect about you

With regard to each of your visits to our site we may automatically collect the following information:

  • Technical information, including the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, desktop resolution, browser languages;
  • Information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time); products you viewed or searched for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our customer service number.

3. Information we receive from other sources

We may receive information about you if you use any of the other websites we operate or the other services we provide. We are also working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment services and payment acquirers, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers) and may receive information about you from them.

4. Geo-Location information

Some devices allow applications to access real-time location-based information (for example GPS). Our mobile apps may collect such information from your mobile device at any time while you download or use our mobile apps. We may use this information to optimise your experience.

5. Personal and Non-personal information

Personal information is information that can be used to uniquely identify a single person. We also collect non-personal information, or alternatively we may anonymise personal information in order to make it non-personal. Non-personal information is any information that cannot be used to personally identify an individual. By using Fondy Websites, you agree that Fondy may collect, store, use, transfer and disclose non-personal information for any purpose; for example, the use of aggregated transactional information for commercial purposes. Under this notice, information collected by cookies and similar technologies are dealt with as non-personal information.

6. Event Use of Information Policy

In registering for any Fondy event (an Event), you agree that:

  • Fondy may use photos and videos of the Event, which may include images of yourself, for the purpose of distribution to event participants and/or in our promotional materials for future events;
  • Any insights gained from sessions that you participate in and contribute to may also be used by us (on an anonymised basis) for any purpose and without restriction;
  • Fondy may include details of your name, title and company in our app for an Event that is available to registered delegates.

Uses made of the information

We use information held about you in the following ways:

  • to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us and to provide you with the information, products and services that you request from us;
  • to provide you with information about other goods and services we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about;
  • to provide you, or permit selected third parties to provide you, with information about goods or services we feel may interest you;
  • to notify you about changes to our service;
  • to understand customer requirements, perform analysis and comparisons and obtain your views on our goods, services and website(s);
  • to develop and test products and services;
  • to improve our site and ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;

  • to allow you to participate in interactive features of our service when you choose to do so; and

We may share your personal information with any member of our group of companies, which may include any or all of our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and/or its subsidiaries.

  • Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site, although ordinarily only non-personal information is shared.

  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or otherwise permitted under law to do so, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fondy, our customers, or others. This includes, but is not limited to, exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud/crime protection and investigation and credit risk reduction.

Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to and stored at, a destination inside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may also be processed by staff operating inside and/or outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the fulfillment of your order, the processing of your payment details, and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password or access code which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone, and you hereby authorise Fondy to act upon instructions and information from any person that enters your user id or password.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

In accordance with the provisions of GDPR, there is no fee charged for this service, although Fondy reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee in instances where such requests are manifestly excessive or unfounded, particularly if they are repetitive.

 Where you opt-out of receiving these marketing messages, this will not affect our processing of your personal data for other non-marketing purposes such as providing a product/service to you, product/service experience or other transactions, etc.
